Baby Love

Hi Babybear Ella! These days your personality is starting to really
come through in everything you do. I find it so funny, yet challenging when you refuse to sit down and you want to stand straight up, stiff as a board! Its almost as though you didn't have knees, hee hee. You're becoming more assertive and loving. You follow me and Daddy around the room and you love curling up into a ball and playing with your feet, and we love it! You will be sitting up in no time. Also, i'll be going back to work in about a month, and even though its a month away, I know how time flies and I'm really sad about it. I'm trying to take in every minute with you, but I also have to start giving you space so we can learn to miss each other without meltdowns (more me than you I'm sure).
Grandma T came by Friday to watch you while I was at the dentist office and you were such a good girl in the waiting room, the whole 3 hours! Yikes, I wasn't too happy about it taking that long, but you were such a trooper!
Tomorrow we will go to the doctor's office and you'll be getting your second round of shots. I've been reading up on spacing out your shots, the pro's and con's of immunization. There's such an overwhelming amount of information out there, but I want to make sure we make the smartest, most informed choice for you. I've also been reading up on starting to introduce solids into your diet and I've decided to wait until your 6 months old and we are definitely making your foods, none of that processed, canned stuff for my little girl. Did you know that your first food can be avocado, since they're packed with good, healthy fats and nutrients? I love it, and Daddy does too! We can't wait to start making all kinds of purees. Sweet potatoes, bananas, apricots, peas, yum! It's gonna be messy but fun too!
Grandpa came by last night too to watch you while Daddy & I went on an hour long dinner date, hee hee! We would've brought you along, but we've been getting you on a sleep pattern and we don't want to disrupt that. Too bad for Grandpa Earl that you slept the whole time we were gone! He got a treat though when you woke up right after we got home. And even though I wasn't thrilled about you being fully awake at 11pm, Grandpa wanted to see you and hug you and kiss you, so I understood. Tonight I gave you a bath by 6pm and you were asleep by 7.
The days aren't always easy, but I love every single second I get to spend with you, holding you close, making you laugh and make little spit bubbles, things Mommy & Daddy live for.
Love you little Ella Rose, you won't be little forever, but you'll be ours forever. It brings tears to my eyes thinking that one day you'll be too big to cuddle in my arms. But its taught me to embrace every moment, everything else is secondary and you'll always come first. Being your Mommy is the biggest reward life could give. -Love love love you, Mommy
