Palm Springs

Hi baby! So much to tell, that I don't even know where to begin! We took another little vacation, this time to Palm Springs. I gotta admit, I was a little hesitant at first, seeing as how you're so little and the heat can be pretty serious in the desert. Regardless, we packed up and were off! Besides, you had the cutest little striped bathing suit, and if we waited another week, it wouldn't fit your ever growing little body!
The night before leaving to Palm Springs was a little rough. You woke up around 4 or 5am and didn't want to fall back to sleep. Daddy took you for a while and tried to put you to sleep, but you weren't having any of that. Finally you were out, but back up in a matter of minutes. I took you out of your bassinet and brought you over to bed with us and you finally fell asleep for good, while breastfeeding. It was pretty funny to wake up with you sleeping sideways facing me, and me doing the same. Needless to say, we were all pooped, and got a late start on the road.

We were worried that with you being a little fussy in the morning, we'd have a rough trip, but you were a good girl, like usual. You napped for a little while, I talked to you, tried to keep you entertained and then just gave you some quiet time. Before we knew it, we had arrived to sunny Palm Springs! It was around 107 degrees when we got there, we settled into our room and were off for lunch, and you were down for a nap. While you were sleeping we had a lovely lunch and walked around a bit, but then the heat got too much to take. So off to the pool we went!

You were a little hit at the poolside, everyone commented on how adorable you and your bathing suit were. I was such a nervous wreck. I was so worried that you would get too much sun, that the water would dry out your skin, that you might fall into the water...oh man, I was driving Daddy crazy! I just cant help it, you're my most valueable possession in this whole world. I don't even want to imagine anything bad happening to my little Ellabear. But despite all my worrying, you were fine and had a great time in the pool, you're a total water baby!
Overall, the vacation was a great time, even though we had mosquitos in our room the first night and a little gecko the second! I guess its kind of expected in the desert, but just not in our room! I'm so glad we all got the chance to get out of LA for a few days, it was much needed. You came back very tired and you've been catching up on your sleep, and feeding since we came back!

You are growing so quickly, recently you've started trying to sit up and with a little help from Daddy, you do! It makes me both happy, yet sad, because you're growing so fast! I swear, you probably weigh 13 pounds by now! You dont even like to be held sideways, you want to be looking over my shoulder, looking at the world around you, and munchin on your hand! But im so proud of you, you are everything Mommy & Daddy could've ever wanted! Goodnight my little Ellabear...or like Daddy says "Glug Glug", I prefer "Boosh Boosh"...but either way, we love you!
