Beautiful Weekends

Hello Ellabear!
We had such a wonderful weekend. Saturday got off to a fun start. You finally fit into the leopard bodysuit I bought for you back when you were a wee little pea in my tummy. I remember being so excited to buy you all these clothes, but we still weren't sure if you were a boy or a girl. And to be honest, any excuse to shop is good enough for me. But I'd never had the privilege of buying baby clothes...IT IS SO MUCH FUN! Can I confess, I could've sworn you were going to be a little boy, what did I know, I was going off a hunch! So I just bought a ton of clothes, 3 big bags worth, full of boy and girl clothes, but I already had my heart set on you wearing this grey and white leopard bodysuit with a hoodie and little ears, as if it weren't already cute enough!
So I washed it, hung it and patiently waited for you to fit into it, I swear I thought the day would never come, you were so little! Saturday was overcast and the morning was cold, a perfect excuse to slip you into it. I thought my heart would explode from the cuteness! And you loved how snuggly warm it was. So much so, we kept you in it all day!

That night we went out to dinner, Daddy & I could see everyone oohhing and aahhing at you in your little getup. And I just couldn't stop cuddling you. I know i'll squeeze you into it at least 3 more times before it simply won't snap up anymore. I'm seriously considering buying it in every size possible.

Sunday started off lazy, like all Sundays should! Then we decided to get out of the house and enjoy the perfect warm day with a light breeze. We were going to have Korean BBQ in Little Tokyo, but ended up having seafood in Silverlake. Afterwards we decided to go for a nice walk around the neighborhood and contemplated where to move next. We still have a while on our lease here, but we already know we won't be staying for a second year. I'm hoping for a move to Atwater, maybe Downtown. Daddy would like South Pasadena, but ultimately we want somewhere that is safe, family friendly, nice streets to go on walks with you, friendly neighbors, quiet and closer to work for me, so I can get home sooner to be with you!

You turn 3 months old in less than a week and you're already beginning to develop great motor skills. You're starting to put your binky in your mouth, and quickly proceed to remove it, leaving you with a puzzled face. Its pretty cute to see. You like to chew on your burpie rags and refuse to let them go. But when I pick you up, you decide its a great time to spit your binky out and drop whatever is in your hand, you always know how to make me laugh. Thank you again for a beautiful weekend full of memories i'll never forget. Love you Ellabear -Mommy
