Happy Mothers Day

Ella-
Today is the day after Mothers Day, but we just had such an action packed day, I couldn't squeeze the energy into writing from the heart, my heart was all poured out over the day.
Being a mommy entails so many things, many people don't tell you about, can't prepare you for (like the first time I heard 'mama' from you) and the little personal moments to look forward to. Its all a privilege and a blessing. There are so many little moments I look forward to: your first steps, your first wrap around hug, the first time you give me a kiss, and I'm sure my heart will melt completely when you say 'i love you' for the first time.
We spent the day together with Poppa and went to a beautiful, simple breakfast. You fell in love with rosemary potatoes and I fell in love with my cup of coffee! We headed over to the Rose Bowl flea market and had a grand time, shopping for hours and we still left stones unturned. Next time Poppa and I have a strategy and it involves leaving you with grandma so you don't get sunburned like we did. Right now both Poppa and I are rocking red chests in the shape of a v-neck tee and red noses, foreheads and necks. Its quite funny and uncomfortable. After we were done shopping for treasures we headed over to auntie Carmen's house and had a bbq. You spent time with your grandpa , uncles and aunts. It was a beautiful day, surrounded by special moments. Poppa didn't have anything in particular planned out, but it all worked perfectly.

Thank you for entering my life and making me your forever momma. I promise always be that shoulder to cry on, the cheerleader you need, the friend to confide in but above all else, your momma. Yesterday, today and forever more.

-Love always, momma.
