Dear Ella,

Around these parts, were busy. So busy in fact, that I haven't given myself a moment to give you an update. But here I am, letting you know all about whats going on.

For starters you're 10 months old! Last night Poppa and I had a teary eyed moment while looking over your pictures and videos from when you were a week old! Wow, did you cry. But looking back on those videos really puts in perspective how fleeting time really is. Can you believe were already planning your 1st birthday? Its pretty exciting. I've never been one for big productions, and Poppa would be happy with the simplest, most sincere event. However, since it is your 1st and you only get this 1 time to turn 1...we have to make it memorable. We've having a fiesta, theme. Grandma T is so excited, she already went out and bought you a special dress! I've already purchased most of the decorations, i've already decided were getting you a cake from Porto's, the same bakery your baby shower cake came from! Poppa is excited to take pictures with black and white film, his little girl is turning 1. Wow. Everyday you grow leaps and bounds. You grab the finest thread with your two little fingers, you eat cheerios by the handful and you gobble down avocado like no tomorrow!

I took you to the doctor the other day for your wellness check up. She said you are doing great! 22 lbs. and 29 inches long! You got a few shots, which Poppa wasn't thrilled about, but the doctor said that they were follow up shots to ones you'd previously had before. You cried a bit, but I nursed you and you recovered quickly. Speaking of nursing, the time is coming for me to stop nursing you soon. I keep asking myself who its going to be harder on, you or me. You're so attached to nursing, its great bonding for us and you don't seem to be letting up any time soon. I debate on whether I should let you wean yourself off, or if 1 year is enough. We'll just have to play it by ear. I sure don't mind the quality time together, the benefits for your nutrition or those calories burned either!

We're moving into a new house soon, in Eagle Rock! We are sooooooooo excited! 5 more weeks and we can't wait. I'm just too excited about everything these days. I've already started collecting things to decorate your room and picked out a soft lavender color. We'll be close to Occidental College so we'll go on walks and Poppa says we're going to get bikes so we can go for rides together! Yay. This summer will be beautiful. Just hope the heat isn't too much! We both run warm as it is! Ok my love, i'm off to relax for a bit before bed. I love you so so so much, don't you ever forget it! -Momma
