Courage is one of those over used, under done words. This week I had to use courage and stand my ground under pressure at work. Sometimes in the moment, you can't imagine the big picture and the repercussions of actions.
I was offered a promotion to a larger store, and as flaterring as it is, it wasn't quite what I wanted. But of course, sometimes no won't be taken as an answer. So I caved in, and had to then stand up for myself. I caved because I didn't want to disappoint people who were expecting me to agree to go. But I couldn't stop thinking about you and poppa and how this would all change and affect us. I learned a big lesson. And you know what, people will value you so much more if you're honest and upfront. Don't ever be afraid to show courage! If something doesn't feel right or you're not comfortable, speak up. Nobody can hear your voice if you don't use it.
