We had quite a night, or should I say early morning. It was mostly my fault that you woke me up at 4am with a little surprise when I looked inside your bassinet. I heard you shuffling around as you usually do to get comfortable, but you were doing more than getting comfortable! You were escaping out of your swaddle! When I looked to see what all the commotion was about...you had your swaddle all the way down to your legs, haha! Oh baby, how you manage to make me laugh, no matter how exhausted I may be. I re-swaddled you again, knowing you'd probably escape in no time, and as I thought...you did, wasting no time. Luckily your back up swaddle was dry just in time. Daddy decided to give me a little break and you ended up asleep on his chest. The nights usually aren't like that, thankfully, but it makes for funny moments.
You're already beginning to outgrow your clothing! Theres a pile building up of newborn onesies and bottoms that dont fit you anymore. Time really is going by so fast, I know we have the rest of our lives, but like Daddy says, "shes only going to be this small today, tomorrow she'll grow some more." So true. I secretly have moments where im already planning your 1st birthday, and imagining you walking for the first time, sitting up on your own, crawling, rolling over..all these things will be here with the blink of an eye. For now, i'll continue to enjoy your gummy smile every morning, you know, you never wake up in a bad mood, you're always so happy & smiling, even when your eyes are heavy with sleep, you manage to crack a little gum for Mommy. And so my little Ellabear, we wrap up another day, and you've given me another set of wonderful, one of a kind memories. Love you always, -MommaBear
